Food Connecting the World

Food is the best thing in the world, in my opinion, it helps us to survive. Have you ever felt upset or resistant to do something, but when someone offers you food you suddenly feel an urge to do it? Well, that’s because food can be used to motivate people into doing something.  Food can help relieve stress and can make you feel good. It helps calm your body, especially when you’ve had a stressful day and you go into a food coma then all you want to do is lay down and watch videos on YouTube.  We love food so much that sometimes it comes to the point where we hide it from other people, let’s be honest we’re all guilty of this. On the other hand, we also love to share food with others. For example, when we don’t have anything else to offer we usually end up offering food.

Food is what connects everyone around the world. Trying different kinds of food from all over the world helps to get a taste of different cultures. Food can be used for many things. Sometimes we don’t always use it to satisfy our hunger but we also use it to help strike up a conversation, “pay” someone into doing a favor for you or share the experience of learning about different cultures with someone. Even if you have nothing, everyone is always looking for food, I mean it’s a necessity for survival, but my point is even though life can get tough you can always turn to food for help. Being able to share a meal with others can make us all smile. Different groups of people can bond and come together by just simply sharing food with each other.

Food has always helped me get through tough times and cheers me up, which is why I’m in love with food. I highly respect all the people who are able to fast because I can’t even go three hours without food. I probably won’t ever fast but if you’re interested in fasting there are many ways to fast. Fasting can help you lose weight or reduce stress, and you can also brag about being able to fast, like how Siddhartha did in the book “Siddhartha” by Hermann Hesse. There are many advantages to fasting, I just prefer to not result in fasting.

Food can benefit us in so many ways. Even though we all like different kinds of food, at the end of the day, food is something that can help us make a new friend or make us feel happy and relaxed. It’s what brings us all together.

I like your interpretation on how food can connect people from all over the globe, globalizing unique cuisines and food from different cultures. Knowing this, we can all understand each other’s cultures.
While there are way too many aspects of food that way enjoy, I believe that the spices and seasoning is what makes different foods unique with their taste. If it weren’t for globalization and the connection of food from around the world, spices wouldn’t have even been a part of our daily meals. We would be eating bland chicken wings from Wingstop. Thanks to the Europeans, however, spices have been traded from the Asians and the Northeast Africans and spread all around the world by the Europeans.
What is your favorite aspect of food?
